Download Speed
You may have noticed lately that the site has been VERY slow to download. This is because I've been a victim of my own success - my ISP, Demon, only likes users of a free sites like mine to download 25 Megabytes per day, total. If I go above this for more than a certain number of occasions per month they move the site to a much slower server, and this is what recently happened to me. Just too many people checking the site out too often!3rd :Well, after a brief period on the slow server the Daystrom Institute is now back to normal speed. I'm considering ways to reduce the amount of stuff you need to download to avoid having this problem re-occur, but it isn't easy to do without cutting the usefulness of the site by a good portion. For now, I'm not making any more additions to the site for a while until I can sort something out.

There's a new scan of the Norway class up on its images page. I've had to retouch it somewhat, but it's still a huge improvement over the other one!1st :
New Images
Lots of new images go up on the site today - there are new and much higher quality pictures of the Valiant class and most of the shuttlecraft on the direct size comparison page. Also, many of the images of type 1, 2, and 3 phasers on the phaser weapons section have been replaced with much higher quality images also.
