DS9 Class

This view of one of DS9's weapon towers shows both a Rotary Weapon System (left) and a Fixed Weapon Emplacement (centre) launching photon torpedoes. There are six such towers located on the stations Habitat Ring.

This is a Retractable Weapon Emplacement; like the Rotary and Fixed systems it mounts both heavy phasers and rapid fire photon torpedo launchers. DS9 has eighteen of these systems on the Habitat Ring and Docking Pylons.

The Enterprise-D docked at one of Deep Space Nines upper docking pylons just days after Starfleet assumed command of the station.
