Notes : The largest and most powerful vessels in the Ferengi fleet, Starfleet first encountered a Marauder class vessel in 2364 when the Enterprise-D intercepted a Marauder which had recently stolen a power convertor from a Federation outpost. The Marauder proved to be very nearly the equal of the Galaxy class in speed, although the Galaxy class has significantly more firepower.
The Marauder, like all Ferengi vessels, is primarily a trading ship.
Its devotes most of its internal volume to cargo space, large areas styled
after marketplaces, and strong room facilities to store commercial gains.
The Ferengi typically operate these vessels beyond their own borders on
long duration trading missions which mirror the Federations exploratory
programmes.
