The USS Enterprise fires a salvo from her torpedo turret. The
exceptional rate of fire of this weapon makes it more than the
equal of even a burst fire torpedo tube, while the ability to fire off the
centreline cuts down the torpedo flight time significantly at close range.
 

The Enterprise-E lets loose with her Quantum torpedo turret. This launcher is capable
of firing several torpedoes per second, more than even a burst fire launcher can manage.
